Sex shops are common on our streets now but the closest thing to a sex supermarket is the Erotica show at Olympia and boy is it popular. With wall to wall sex, it would be a surprise not to find men in dirty macs, and they're there, but not en masse as you might expect. Indeed, there are plenty of respectable looking sorts, happily browsing amongst the strap-ons and the lubricants as if they were soft-furnishings, or politely applauding the stage shows (which this year include offerings from burlesque star Dita von Teese).
With stalls ranging from tasteful art through silly gifts to costumes and whips, no matter what your tastes, you'll find plenty to titillate and amuse. And don't worry if you're averse to the more extreme offerings on the sexual pallette - the hard-core materials are tucked away so as not to offend.
Erotica is certainly entertaining and, perhaps surprisingly, it has a very relaxed atmosphere. Have a laugh, meet a porn star and, hey, you might even get your Christmas shopping done early.
