- Visitor Information
This new festival, organised by the Royal Parks and aimed at 13 to 21 year-olds, brings together 35 of the very best arts organisations from across the capital, including The Royal Ballet and the V&A. The free event, which has been awarded the London 2012 inspire mark, takes place in Kensington Gardens on the last Sunday of July and has been designed and developed in partnership with a group of young people. A wide range of participatory activities including dance, music, theatre, film, photography and visual arts will be on offer on and in a variety of unusual stages, tents and spaces. Other renowned organisations involved in FUSE include Sing London, Theatre Royal Haymarket, Soho Theatre, English National Ballet, Tate Britain, Royal Albert Hall, BAFTA, The Photographers' Gallery and London Transport Museum.About Kensington Gardens
Technically two different parks, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are in practical and historical terms one huge, merging expanse. Almost every kind of outdoor pursuit takes place within its 625 acres all year round. Horse-riding, rollerblading, swimming, boating, tennis, cycling, bowling and putting are just some of the formal activities catered for in this central, sporty park, while informal games of cricket, football, rugby and rounders regularly sprout up in the Sports Field on the south side of the park.
