The Finsbury Square Market brings fresh food and farm produced goods to the heart of London's financial centre, only a few hundred yards from Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations. City workers can stock up on fresh produce on a Friday, ready for the weekend's entertaining, or have a Friday lunchtime treat - takeaway options include a variety of hot food from people like Pieminister as well as sandwiches, coffee, fruit and drinks. Suppliers are largely sustainable producers and farmers from London and the South East like Nut Knowle Farm in East Sussex and London-based The Flour Station which began life at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant. Olive oils and whole olives, fresh tomatoes and vegetables are just some of the goods on sale alongside free range meats and Hand Picked Shellfish. Just remember to leave room for Peggy's Cup Cakes, surely too cute to leave behind. The market takes place every third Friday of the month (18th December 2009, 15th January 2010, 19th February 2010 etc).Finsbury Square Market images
