Found at Fulham
THIS EVENT ENDED ON THE 17TH APRIL 2013
Two 3rd century Roman skulls - the severed heads of a dog and a horse - are among the 'treasures' on display at the Found at Fulham exhibition at Fulham Palace. The free exhibition displays archaeological discoveries at Fulham
Palace found during restoration works as well as items recently uncovered during a community archaeology dig
which took place in summer 2012. The moat which encircled the Palace - believed to the longest Medieval moat in England - was excavated in 2011 and visitors can see a 95-yard stretch of it during the exhibition. The grounds of Fulham Palace and adjoining Bishops Park have recently had £8 million lavished on them and now there's an urban beach, ornamental lake and a refurbished cafe in the park.
