Frisky & Mannish's School Of PopHead to the London Wonderground Spiegeltent for a rare chance to see Frisky & Mannish's School of Pop, the duo's acclaimed and hilariously camp crash-course in pop semantics. With toff dominatrix Frisky (Laura Corcoran) behind the mike and Lycra-clad Austrian rake Mannish (Matthew Jones) on the keys, the pair blast through a rip-roaring, hilarious barrage of pop hits at breakneck speed, parodying anyone from Kate Nash to the Pussy Cat Dolls. Listen, class, and you will learn the perils of song-writing while stoned and be able to compare and contrast the songwriting skills of Lily Allen and Noel Coward in an hour-long lesson that whips by in a flash. The observations of the "seriously talented" and "zealously supported cult cabaret hit" (The Guardian) are both bang-on and laugh-out-loud while their own natural musical ability and tight stage rapport suggests mainstream glory is but a few funny songs away.

About Southbank Centre

London's hub of cultural arts, The Southbank Centre announced in March 2013 that it's set for a £100 million revamp that will see the 1960s design finally move into the 21st century with a proposal that includes a floating glass pavilion, two more roof gardens, a space for riverside arts and a large pedestrian area.
