| A new exhibition at the Political Cartoon Gallery, From Major to Minor looks at an extraordinary fifteen years in the history of the Conservative Party. The amiable figures of John Major and David Cameron bookend the period, and there are memorable images of both among these fifty or so original cartoons. The real entertainment, though, comes from the unelectable freakshow the party selected in the intervening years: gurning man-boy William Hague, petulant thug Iain Duncan-Smith and the vampiric Michael Howard were a rare boon to the cartoonist's art. |
