Funny Women AwardsThe leading showcase for British female comedy talent, the Funny Women Awards, stages its annual search for the next household names. Entering into its 16th year, the stand up show introduces this year's finalists who, having beaten off 433 rivals, will be hoping to become the next Katherine Ryan or Sara Pascoe - both previous winners and finalists. As well as the Stage Award finals the show also includes the announcement of the winners of the Comedy Writing Awards and top Comedy Shorts Award winner among other prizes.

About Bloomsbury Theatre

Owned and part-funded by University College London, the Bloomsbury was completed in 1968 on the site of a bomb-damaged church. The years have not been kind to this style of architecture and its plate glass and dark brick front now looks drab and un-theatrical. More about Bloomsbury Theatre
