Gerard Byrne: A State of Neutral PleasureWith Irish artist and film installation specialist Gerard Byrne, you're never sure what you're going to get. Previous subjects include the Lock Ness Monster, the possible location of Beckett's Waiting for Godot and the history of Minimalist art. This free exhibition at the Whitechapel once again sees Byrne explore the way we understand the present through revisiting the past, through a range of investigations spanning sexual politics and the actual production of the art object.

About Whitechapel Gallery

Designed in a distinctive Arts and Crafts architecture style by Charles Harrison Townsend, the Whitechapel, Britain's first purpose-built arts gallery, is renowned both for the beauty of its light, airy space and for embracing the local community in its work.
