THIS ARCHIVED EVENT ENDED ON THE 23RD JULY 2009

Scottish author and creator of 'the boy who wouldn't grow up', J. M. Barrie lived very near Kensington Gardens and walked there regularly. This guided tour gives you the chance to walk in his footsteps, around the areas of the gardens that inspired him when he wrote his two Peter Pan stories. There's even a statue in the gardens dedicated to Peter Pan and an annual December swimming competition carried out in the Serpentine Boating Lake called the Peter Pan Cup. If you're interested in joining the walk, contact Nick Lane, Education & Community Engagement Officer for Kensington Gardens on 020 7298 2083 or email him at: nlane@royalparks.gsi.gov.uk. Places are limited and booking is essential. You'll be told the meeting point once your booking has been confirmed.
