Hansel and GretelThis Christmas the National Theatre conjures up an unforgettable adaptation of the classic fairytale Hansel and Gretel. Join the lost youngsters as they follow a trail of breadcrumbs through the woods and stumble across an eerie house made entirely of tempting treats. The tale is reimagined by Katie Mitchell following her theatrical successes The Cat in the Hat and Beauty and the Beast. This time she joins forces with Lucy Kirkwood and Vicki Mortimer who transform the much loved Brothers Grimm story into an enchanting and intimate new production. The show runs at the National Theatre's Cottesloe Theatre and is especially recommended for 7-10 year olds.

About National Theatre: Cottesloe Theatre

The Cottesloe Theatre closed on 23rd February 2013 and will reopen as the Dorfman Theatre in 2014. In the meantime, during the Cottesloe's closure, a temporary performance space called The Shed has been set up at the front of the South Bank building. The Cottesloe Theatre was the black box studio space of the National Theatre.
