The team behind the hugely successful Venn Street Market in Clapham are aiming to transfer that success to a new venture: the Hildreth Street Market in Balham. In an attempt to provide all of South London residents with a fantastic range of artisan and fresh food produce, the market gives visitors the opportunity to taste some amazing food, meet the producers and find out how your food is produced and where it's from - all this before you actually decide if you want to buy it or not. Among other delights, there will be fresh bread from Flour Station, rare breed meats from Garlic Wood Farm, Italian olive oil from The Olive Oil Co. and French pastries from Comptoir Gourmand. The market takes place on the first Sunday of every month between 11am and 4pm and was selected by Time Out as one of the top 5 food and drink picks for the entire city.
