- Visitor Information
The Big Day Out in Whittington Park is the grand finale to the Holloway Arts Festival (25th June to 5th July) which brings a huge variety of arts and music talks and events to various venues across this North London neighbourhood. The whole festival has an Alice's Adventures in Wonderland theme which extends to the Big Day Out. So you can expect to see Alic and the Queen of Hearts making their way across the park with mad hatters and walking teapots in tow. Stephen Daltry plays the piano as school children perform his musical play based on Alice's adventures through the looking glass. The day continues with live music in various guises - from gypsy punk to celtic grooves - as well as street theatre and short film screenings, all for free. There are shows especially 'for kids' too as One Moment in Time theatre bring their puppets to the park, ideal for children aged 4 to 9. If you want to try your hand at knitting or making paper things head to the arts and crafts section. Or if football is more your thing you can show off your goal scoring skills at the penalty shoot out competition.About Whittington Park
