15 years since its launch, the Human Rights Watch Film Festival returns to London with a line-up of 16 powerful documentaries and five thought-provoking dramas. Held at venues such as the Curzon Soho, the Ritzy Cinema in Brixton Oval and the ICA on the mall, the festival is always attended by many of the featured filmmakers and film subjects. The 2011 schedule saw films such as '!Women Art Revolution', a loving tribute to the feminist art movement that took 40 years to make; 'Lost Angeles', a rare insight into LA's skid row; and making its UK premiere is 'You Don't Like the Truth - 4 Days Inside Guantanamo', featuring security camera footage from inside the contentious detention camp. Visit www.hrw.org/iff for film listings, prices and timing information.About Curzon Soho
This cracking, refurbished Soho cinema shows a broad-range of art-house films. The three screens feature Dolby THX sound and ample leg-room.
