IN THE NEXT ROOM Or The Vibrator PlayIt may be a time of great innovation and change, what with the electric light bulb and all, but Dr. Givings wants to help women suffering from hysteria. With his weird electrical device, one of his first patients emerges from her session with a glow, and is keen to return. Sarah Ruhl's comedy drama about sex and intimacy at St James Theatre features TV stars Natalie Casey (from BBC's Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps) in the role of Catherine Givings and Jason Hughes (Warren Jones in the BBC TV series 'This Life'; and more recently DS Ben Jones in Midsomer Murders) who plays Dr Givings. Laurence Boswell, artistic director of Theatre Royal Bath's Ustinov Studio, directs. Contains scenes of an adult nature. See our great ticket deals.
