London Ice Sculpting FestivalThere'll be snow - real snow! - in London this winter at the Ice Sculpting Festival in Canary Wharf where a snowpit will be set up next to the outstanding pieces of art constructed using ice. With impressive craftsmanship teams of acclaimed sculptors from around the globe carve dramatic, large-scale works of art from two metre high blocks of ice, against the clock. There will be eight teams working together to craft their designs and a prize for the most spectacular of all. If you think this looks easy, try it yourself the ice sculpting masterclasses showing you how to transform a block of ice into a work of art.

About Canary Wharf

Home to the big banks, Canary Wharf is a purpose-built office hub in the regenerated Docklands. With the site extending to over 97 acres it's almost like a separate city in the east of London, powered by and for the financial sector. More about Canary Wharf
