In the Making
THIS EVENT ENDED ON THE 4TH MAY 2014
In an exhibition guest curated by Ed Barber and Jay Osgerby (the duo behind the London 2012 Olympic torch, the 'Tab' lamp and the 'Tip Ton' chair), the Design Museum looks at how familiar objects are made. Products are caught mid-manufacture, their unfinished forms held up as things of beauty in their own right. The pair say that such an in-depth appreciation of the manufacturing process often inspires their own work.
