Next time you're in Barcelona, check out the H & M shop, not just for the very affordable fashions but also for the recent refit which has been designed by Javier Mariscal. The Spanish artist and designer is celebrated in this exhibition at the Design Museum which demonstrates the rich variety of formats Javier has turned to, from armchairs to robots and from corporate branding to children's hospitals. These are just some of the high profile projects he has been involved in but perhaps his best known, worldwide, is his 'Cobi' cartoon mascot created for the Barcelona Olypmic Games. He has been the subject of an exhibition at the Pompidou Centre in Paris and he was responsible for the Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao, next to - and in keeping with - the Guggenheim Museum. Surprising then that this is the first large scale show of his work in the UK - presenting us with an opportunity not to be missed.
