Jimmy Webb & The Webb Brothers

Jimmy Webb, the most successful songwriter you've never heard of (but have certainly heard), joins forces with his three sons The Webb Brothers, probably the best band you've never heard, for this sole London date on a mini UK tour to promote the family band's new album Cottonwood Farm. The award-winning and ever-popular Webb, whose work has been covered by the likes of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Cash and REM, was responsible for classics such as Up, Up and Away and By The Time I Get To Pheonix - "the greatest torch song ever written," according to the king of the "Rat Pack" himself. Webb's sons Christiaan (yes, that really is a double "a"), Justin and James made a name for themselves on these shores with the release of their 2000 album Maroon, a lively psychedelic affair with big choruses and catchy riffs that topped The Guardian's best album of the year chart despite going under the mainstream radar. Taking a break in the recording of their fourth album, The God Helmet, The Webb Brothers have returned to their roots, performing with dad to form an intriguing big band that is a must-see event for all Webb fans.

Note: This concert was originally scheduled for The Lyceum Theatre but - fittingly for a man as religious as Jimmy Webb - has changed to the splendid Union Chapel in Islington. Original tickets still valid.
