Prior to its unpopular closure last year the unique appeal of was documented by photographer Katherine Green during the three months before its closure. In Going to the Dogs, an exhibition at the Vestry House Museum, Katherine, a local resident and Central St Martin's graduate, explores the stadium's iconic architecture, its social history and the people who worked and visited the East London landmark. In collaboration with the exhibition, 'Just Another Day', a documentary about Walthamstow Stadium filmed in 1986, will be screened once a week on The Big Screen in Walthamstow Town Square every Friday from 12.30pm-1pm starting on Friday 25th September and running until 2nd October.About Vestry House Museum
Vestry House Museum, originally built as a workhouse in 1730, holds a wide range of objects on the history of Waltham Forest. There is a reconstructed Victorian parlour, a police cell, domestic life gallery, and exhibits on local crafts and industry housed in the Grade II listed former workhouse.
