Kings Place FestivalThe annual Kings Place Festival takes place in early September with a unique formula of over 50 events and concerts squeezed into just three days. Talented musicians like Finnish pianist/composer Aki Rissanen and ten of Scotland and England's leading female folk musicians are just two acts on the line-up. But the festival also covers classical, contemporary, experimental, folk, jazz and blues music, alongside the spoken word, visual art, comedy, food and family entertainment. Outside Kings Place are various events from the Cally Market to a canal boat trip.

 

About Kings Place

Just 150 metres from King's Cross and St Pancras stations and with a waterside setting, the Dixon-Jones designed Kings Place combines the offices of The Guardian newspaper with a concert hall and two art galleries. As you'd expect from the architects behind the recent improvements to the Royal Opera House and National Portrait Gallery it's a well designed complex of curvaceous surfaces and appealing public spaces.
