Expect pyrotechnics, crazy costumes, shoulder pads, tongue waggles, big hair, much face paint and a crazy, crazy night as rock veterans Kiss return to London for their first UK arena shows for 18 years. Gene Simmons and his fellow purveyors of glam rock and 80s "hair metal" are back on the road to support the release of Sonic Boom, their 19th studio album and first new record in 11 years. These two gigs at Wembley Arena conclude the UK leg of their massive Sonic Boom Over Europe Tour, and if a hush-hush intimate gig at the Islington Academy in March is anything to go by, fans can expect a show so hot even Satan would crank up the air-con. Last year's "kick-ass" and "insanely good" (Metal Hammer) Sonic Boom was praised by The Telegraph for its "no-nonsense, riff-based anthems and unreconstructed lyrics" which made Kiss "seem more contemporary than ever". Frontman Paul Stanley has promised favourites such as 'Crazy Nights' and 'God Gave Rock And Roll To You' will get a good airing alongside new material in what should prove a formidable two nights of tongue-in-cheek pop-metal from one of hard rock's most recognisable acts.About Wembley Arena
