ColliderVisitors can immerse themselves in the greatest intellectual adventure on the planet in this Science Museum exhibition dedicated to the Large Hadron Collider. Attempting to recreate conditions not seen since the Big Bang some 13.7 billion years ago, CERN's giant particle collider in Geneva is one of the largest scientific and engineering endeavours of our time, a place of wonder where scientists and engineers work at the extremes of temperature, vacuum and energy. The exhibition, which will tour museums worldwide, will provide a close-up look at remarkable examples of CERN engineering, from the bottle of hydrogen gas that feeds the great machine, to its vast dipole magnets.
