The Southbank Centre celebrates ten years of Liberty, London's annual deaf and disabled arts festival, as part of a three day festival which coincides with the first weekend of the Paralympic Games. The Liberty Festival 10 Year Anniversary Celebrations include a cabaret evening in Royal Festival Hall's Clore Ballroom, featuring Liz Carr, Ruby Wax, Laurence Clark and Jonny Crescendo, one of several events taking place in various venues around London from 1st to 3rd September. During the day DJs play on the riverside terrace where Sally Booth creates a sculptural live drawing and there's a new visual art installation on display, Ten Years of Liberty, until 9th September.

TIMES & EVENTS:
1pm - A selection of tracks from Ben of Pigpen DJs in memory of Gabriel.
1pm-6pm - Sally Booth creates a sculptural live drawing on the riverside terrace by the South Bank.
2.30pm - Ray Campbell plays soulful 80s and 90s tunes.
4pm - DJ Chinaman, Troi's eclectic mix from the founder of Deaf Rave.
5.30pm - Paul Hanson Gundry AKA Purple Paul, with chilled electronica.
7pm - Jamie Renton with world music sounds.
8.30pm - Anya Ustaszewski creates electroacoustic soundscapes.
7.30pm-10.30pm, Clore Ballroom cabaret - compered by Liz Carr, presenter of the BBC Ouch! podcast, featuring Jonny Crescendo, Laurence Clark and Ruby Wax, with a musical finale from pop sensation Susan Hedges and The Payl Hayes Collection.

About Southbank Centre

London's hub of cultural arts, The Southbank Centre announced in March 2013 that it's set for a £100 million revamp that will see the 1960s design finally move into the 21st century with a proposal that includes a floating glass pavilion, two more roof gardens, a space for riverside arts and a large pedestrian area.
