The seventh year of London's disability rights festival, Liberty in Trafalgar Square, features deaf and disabled performers, musicians, actors and dancers, alongside a host of stalls and displays. There are family art workshops to keep the youngsters happy as well as zones for street arts, circus, comedy and music. Highlights include new work by Marc Brew Company and Extant (both pieces developed in association with Greenwich and Docklands International Festival), aerial dance performance by Blue Eyed Soul plus live music from Spaceships are Cool, Denise Leigh and Minika Green. Whether you want to take part, educate your kids about disabled arts, or just enjoy some music and comedy in the sunshine, this is an excellent piece of free entertainment.About Trafalgar Square
Lord Nelson, Britain's greatest military hero, and the mighty lions that surround him, pay testament to the position of Trafalgar Square at the heart of the capital, the heart of the nation, and, at one time, the heart of an empire that controlled three fifths of the world.
