Prudes avert your eyes - for the London Burlesque Festival returns for the fourth year at a number across venues across the capital. Brought to you by the infamous King of Burlesque Chaz Royal, the man behind the hilariously named 'Pavabotti - The Naked Tenor', this year's event is bigger and more glamorous than ever. What was initially a weekend of glitz, vaudeville and sizzling striptease is now a whole six nights of raucous exotic entertainment showcasing the very best in British burlesque and beyond. The week starts and ends in Café de Paris with the grand Red Carpet Roll Out on Tuesday and the VIP Closing and Awards on Sunday. In between there's a history of Peepshow (Madame Jojo's), some Twisted Cabaret (Royal Vauxhall Tavern), a spot of kinky acrobatics with Sexy Circus Sideshow (Bush Hall), a Battle Royale for new acts (O2 Academy Islington), a late-night Speakeasy fancy dress party (Proud Cabaret) and the hotly anticipated International Jetsetters Ball at Scala. If you crave suspenders, stockings, whips, lace, red lips, lascivious ladies, pert posteriors and a bit of a slap 'n' tickle then this is the event for your spring diary. Check www.londonburlesquefest.com for further details.Programme:
