London Design Week 2014When it comes to finding inspiration, there is little that can beat drawing on great resources to ignite our imaginations. London Design Week 2014 at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour is the first port of call for designers, architects and specifiers who need to keep one step ahead. It is a mix of style, imagination and directional design.

Think product diversity of breadth and beauty from the whos who of the international design scene as 500 brands at 99 Design Centre showrooms (as well as outside participants in Chelsea) debut their new ranges. This event offers a comprehensive overview of the latest fabrics, furniture, wall coverings, lighting, accessories, kitchens, bathroom, outdoor living, tiles, carpets and much more.

Situated in the heart of one of the worlds truly global cities, London Design Week 2014 brings together people from both home and overseas for an inspiring exchange of ideas. A packed programme includes Conversations in Design with influential names including Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Sophie Conran, Emma Bridgewater, Jay Jeffers, Judith Wilson, Rory Dobner, Ptolemy Mann and Bunny Turner. There is also a professional practice session on how designers can make the best of social media. The programme is packed with International showrooms throwing open their doors to host engaging talks, workshops, presentations and meet the designer sessions with some the brightest and most creative minds in the industry.

Add to this courtesy transport, a show-stopping restaurant, specially commissioned installations, book signings and a design blog on the pieces and the people making waves, London Design Week 2014 is definitely one not to miss.

With a wealth of design DNA, it is the essential barometer for spring/summer 2014.
