The extensive Paralympic Road Cycling programme takes place at Brands Hatch, the motor racing venue in Kent, from Wednesday 5 to Saturday 8 September. The third largest sport on the Paralympic programme, Road Cycling features athletes with a visual impairment, cerebral palsy, amputations or other physical disabilities competing on bikes, tricycles, tandems and handcycles. Athletes of 12 disability classes will take place in road races, time trials and team relays for a total of 32 medals events. An athlete's class is determined by the impact of their impairment on their ability to cycle; Tandem has one class, Handcycle (for athletes with lower limb disabilities) has four classes, Tricycle has two classes and Bicycle has five classes.About London Paralympics: Brands Hatch
Event: Paralympic Road CyclingOne of Europe's leading motor racing venues, Brands Hatch will be the venue for the Paralympic Road Cycling events from Wednesday 5 to Saturday 8 September. The former Formula One circuit is located in Kent, around one hour's travel from the Olympic Park, and will play host to the start and finish of both the Paralympic Road Race and the Time Trial.
