London Philharmonic Orchestra: Beethoven's Choral SymphonyVladimir Jurowski, the London Philharmonic Orchestra's principal conductor and artistic director, mounts the podium for Beethoven's Choral Symphony, his final symphony, employing a chorus of voices singing uplifting texts by Friedrich Schiller. Before it, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and choir perform Julian Anderson's 'Alleluia', a musical vision of 'all creation singing aloud', commissioned in 2007 by the Southbank Centre for the re-opening of the refurbished Royal Festival Hall.
