935 feet, 67 floors, 1512 steps - think you could handle it? On the 7th November 2010 participants will undertake the ultimate urban physical challenge: The London Twin Peak Challenge. Competing individually or in teams of four, you can aim to be the fastest to ascend the never ending staircases of two of London's most iconic buildings in succession. Participants (including Olympic skeleton champion Amy Williams) will first attempt to scale the stunning CityPoint building, all the while being cheered along by the team from Action Against Hunger, the charity that the event is raising funds for. However, the view upon reaching the top (and resting period) can only be enjoyed for so long. A quick elevator journey back down to earth and you're guided to the second peak - the Broadgate Tower. Once you've reached the top this time, you can let out a breath knowing that you've finally finished. Participants will then be rewarded with goody bags, a complimentary sports massage and, not to mention, a stunning vista. Also thrown in: Pret refreshments, Crussh smoothies, the Sunday papers and a complimentary massage - plus you'll be able to shower off at the local Slim Jims health club. About Broadgate Tower
Set on the edge of the Square Mile, Broadgate Tower was completed in early 2009 after almost four years of construction and at an estimated cost of £240 million. The 35-floor structure is 164 metres (538 feet) high and was, on completion, the third tallest building in the City (after Tower 42 and the Gherkin). More about Broadgate Tower
