Gaming isn't just for 'geeks'. And the sheer variety of events staged as part of the London Games Festival just goes to prove it. A successful run over the past few years has included movie and comic exhibitions; the London MCM Expo at the ExCel Centre; the London Games Conference at BAFTA in central London; the Golden Joysticks Awards; and the Eurogamer Expo at Old Billingsgate. Also added several years back was a fringe element called 'Playful', at County Hall, where speakers from industries outside the traditional gaming world discuss the future of games. There's plenty of fun to be had too whether you are a gamer, a parent or dreaming of creating your own games, this is a festival where you can meet experts in the industry, try out the latest games and battle it out with fellow gaming enthusiasts. Note: This year's dates are still to be confirmed.
