This summer London has been fortunate enough to see some truly beautiful weather, so what better way to enjoy the sunshine than by witnessing the art of Shakespearian theatre in one of the city's most famous parks. Located in the heart of Greenwich Park in the recently named Royal Borough of Greenwich, the Royal Observatory Garden presents two Rainbow Shakespeare open-air performances throughout August. From 4th to 8th August William Shakespeare's Macbeth will be performed outdoors, bringing with it all of the spookiness which has made 'the Scottish play' renowned as one of the best thrillers of all time. From 11th to 15th August the Observatory Garden shall be transformed from the murky horrors of Macbeth into the whimsical romantic comedy settings of Twelfth Night as audiences enjoy one of the best loved Shakespeare tales performed in the park which was fondly loved by Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Guests are advised to bring rugs and picnic chairs as there is no fixed seating for both productions.
