Made in North Korea: Everyday Graphics from the DPRKThis February, The House of Illustration presents the UK's first ever exhibition of graphic design from North Korea. Made in North Korea: Everyday Graphics from the DPRK draws from items collected by Nicholas Bonner, author of the book Made in North Korea and an expert guide of the country, to give a rare, comprehensive glimpse into the communist republic. Common objects like posters, sweet wrappers and stamps will provide an extraordinary insight into the day-to-day lives of North Koreans and showcase a graphic style unique to the insular society.

About House of Illustration

House of Illustration, the first permanent home of the charity of the same name, opened in Granary Square, King's Cross, in summer 2014 with an inaugural exhibition of works by much loved illustrator Quentin Blake. The gallery and education space is the place to see, learn about, and enjoy illustration in all its forms, from adverts to animation, picture books to political cartoons and scientific drawings to fashion design.
