Up to 1,450 soldiers and 400 musicians line up on Horse Guards Parade as The Major General's Review takes place two weeks before the Trooping of the Colour, held to mark The Queen's official birthday. It's the first of two rehearsal reviews carried out in the weeks before the birthday parade. Even if you haven't booked tickets you can still see some of the parade as it passes by St James's Park and The Mall from Buckingham Palace on the way to Horse Guards Parade. And if you miss this rehearsal you can always see The Colonel's Review on Saturday 1st June when tickets are £10 per seat. Apply for a ticket in advance at: https://qbp.army.mod.uk.
About Horse Guards Parade
Horse Guards Parade is the setting for various military ceremonies throughout the year including the Trooping the Colour which marks the Queen's official birthday. At the heart of Whitehall, it was the traditional entrance to the Royal Palaces and is still guarded by mounted sentries from the Queen's Household Cavalry. More about Horse Guards Parade
