In conversation with Margaret AtwoodMargaret Atwood celebrates the publication of The Testaments, the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale, live on stage at the National Theatre on 10th September in an event that will be broadcast at over 1,300 cinemas across the globe. If you couldn't get tickets to the event - it sold out within hours when it was first announced in March - you can see the author as she speaks to broadcaster and author Samira Ahmed, screened live from the Lyttelton stage to a cinema near you. The interview will focus on her remarkable career, diverse range of works and why she has returned to her handmaid story, 34 years later. Special guests include actress Lily James, Ann Dowd, best known for playing Aunt Lydia in The Handmaid's Tale, and two-time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins.

About National Theatre: Lyttelton Theatre

The Lyttelton is one of three theatres which make up the National Theatre. It was built in a proscenium style, but has thoroughly modern sightlines and acoustics. There really is no bad seat here as there are no circle rails or view-blocking pillars. More about National Theatre: Lyttelton Theatre
