Former Dire Straits lynchpin Mark Knopfler returns to the Royal Albert Hall for six back-to-back concerts this summer as his Get Lucky UK Tour comes to a thrilling climax in one of London's most intimate venues. As lead guitarist and singer of the dad-rock supremos Dire Straits, Knopfler was behind the timeless classics Brothers in Arms, Sultans of Swing and Money for Nothing. His solo work - including his latest and sixth studio album Get Lucky - is more diverse and folksy in sound, so expect a load of fiddles, accordions, citterns, mandolins, organs and flutes popping up alongside one of the most respected finger-style guitarists of modern rock. As well as playing material from Get Lucky and his other solo records, Knopfler will dip into the Dire Straits back catalogue of classics in what should prove a thrilling spectacle for fans. With his distinctive guitar and husky vocals, Knopfler remains one of the most unique songwriters of his generation - hardly a surprise from someone behind more than 120 million album sales to date.About Royal Albert Hall
