You've got to love Michael Palin. He's clearly multi-talented - comedian, author, television presenter, Oxford graduate - but it's not just that, he's also very personable. Through his epic round-the-world televised travels you get to know his personality and he comes across as a very English gentleman who's prepared to try anything once. His willingness to catch a lift with a truck driver and the way he'll happily give belly dancing a go show the Monty Python star has no airs or graces. On his latest travels around Europe for the BBC, journeying from Slovenia to Estonia, he took time out to scribble down everything that was going on in a diary. This book is the result. His travels always make fascinating viewing and they are sure to be equally gripping on paper.
