Midnight Apothecary WassailName checked by Elle and The Daily Telegraph, the Midnight Apothecary has proved to be a sure-fire hit. Set in The Brunel Museum's beautiful rooftop garden, it's a cocktail party with a difference, combining a roaring fire and cocktails created by Lottie Muir using ingredients from her fabulous edible garden. The 2018 season commences with an evening of Wassailing, a traditional Twelfth Night celebration. The ancient ceremony sees the Wassail Queen and Green Man bless the fruit from the trees in anticipation of a bountiful new season. The event will feature cider-based cocktails alongside other heart-warming cocktails. GreenTrad will provide the music and there will be plenty of opportunities to sing along with sing sheets provided. Bring lanterns and torches and get ready for an evening of saucepan banging and marshmallow toasting.

About Brunel Museum

Within the original engine house in Tunnel Road, SE16, this permanent exhibition commemorates the world's first subaqueous tunnel built by Sir Marc Isambard Brunel assisted by his son Isambard Kingdom Brunel. As well as commemorating Brunel's first project - the first metro, part of which is still in use as part of the East London Line today - and his last: the first modern ocean liner the Brunel Museum is also an ancient monument and listed building.
