Sandi Toksvig hosts Mirth Control, a popular event within the Southbank Centre's Women of the World Festival which presents a night of music and comedy. Sue Perkins conducts an all-female orchestra playing the music of overlooked female composers, Petula Clark performs tracks from her forthcoming album - her 35th - 'Lost In You' (released on the 25th of February). The Sunday night show is a rousing finale to the WOW festival.
About Southbank Centre
London's hub of cultural arts, The Southbank Centre announced in March 2013 that it's set for a £100 million revamp that will see the 1960s design finally move into the 21st century with a proposal that includes a floating glass pavilion, two more roof gardens, a space for riverside arts and a large pedestrian area.
