Moscow State Symphony Orchestra: Tchaikovsky CycleDescribed by the L.A. Times as "the world's least-heralded great orchestra", the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra performs three concerts celebrating the key works of Tchaikovsky this May. The first concert on Friday 10th May features the March Slave, Piano Concerto No.1, and Fourth Symphony; the second concert on Tuesday 14th May includes the Russian composer's Francesca da Rimini, Rococo Variations and dramatic Fifth Symphony; the final concert of the cycle on Monday 20th May features Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto and Sixth Symphony, the 'Pathétique', and the Polonaise and Waltz from Eugene Onegin. Voted one of the 10 greatest conductors of the 20th century, Pavel Kogan conducts a line-up of virtuosic young soloists for this tantalising treat.

About Cadogan Hall

Cadogan Hall opened its doors on 18th June 2004 with a surprising lack of fanfare but is making up for that with a year of 10th anniversary celebrations in 2014. The former Church of Christ Scientist is home to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the least elitist of London's major orchestras. More about Cadogan Hall
