Bristol-based theatre company Full Beam Visual Theatre presents a poignant comedy using puppetry and projections in My Baby Just Cares For Me at Jacksons Lane, performed as part of the London Puppetry Festival. Aimed at adults, the storyline will resonate with baby boomers in particular as we follow the day-to-day lives of a father and daughter dealing with the inevitable effects of ageing. Drawing on personal experiences, Full Beam has created a frank and funny take on a potentially sensitive subject that affects us all as roles are reversed and children become the carers for their parents. This is an "an ambitious, multi-layered production squashed into a claustrophobic space" according to The Guardian, and one that bravely tackles the little-discussed but important issue of caring for the elderly.
