Don't Upset the Rhythm, the second single from Noisettes' latest album, was so overplayed, it became easy to forget that the band actually had any other arrows to their quiver than an annoyingly repetitive chorus. But in truth, Noisettes, who follow up recent sell-out shows at the Roundhouse with this special gig at the Union Chapel, have come on a long way since their muddled debut What's The Time Mr Wolf. And Wild Young Hearts is not all just about "Go-Baby-Go" hooks reserved for Mazda car adverts; Never Forget You is a sweet, nostalgic, feel-good nugget of Motown pop while Saturday Night and Every Now And Then also stand out for their sing-along credentials. Singer and bassist Shingai Shoniwa has emerged as one of music's most charismatic performers, fronting whom The Guardian refers to as "the best live band in Britain". Support for the evening comes from Tinashe, a Zimbabwean musician who was sent to the UK by his parents aged two with a view to him becoming a doctor. Both acts are headlining this year's Lake of Stars Festival in Malawi in October and so this will be a good chance for them to hone their collaborative skills ahead of the trip to central Africa.About Union Chapel
This Grade II listed building just south of Highbury Corner functions not only as a place of worship, it is also one of London's most unique and enchanting live music venues with a diverse and enticing list of upcoming events. There's something quite magical about this place and you will be hard pushed to find a more memorable location to listen to live music in London. More about Union Chapel
