Oasis's biggest ever tour of open air venues in the UK and Ireland comes to a crescendoed conclusion with these three dates in Wembley Stadium this July. So much has happened in the UK music scene since the Mancunian quintet broke onto the scene with their pioneering Britpop debut Definitely Maybe in 1994, it's easy to forget that Oasis, defying the odds, are still churning out albums. Their fierce rivals Blur might be having a comeback this summer - reunions are all the rave in this day and age - but the truth is that Oasis never actually went away (even if sales dipped after their 2000 clanger Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants). While the Gallagher brothers seem to be more synonymous to Hampstead and gastropubs than Salford and the Hacienda, Oasis's power and magnitude on the live stage remains, with Noel, in trademark fashion, still claiming his band are the best in the business. Expect a lot of material from seventh album Dig Out Your Soul, but also a dip into the old archive: the Gallaghers may appear dim sometimes, but even they would not be so stupid as to deprive Wembley of Wonderwall - surely. Support fittingly comes from Kasabian and The Enemy, two bands who share Oasis's confidence, swagger and raw anthemic vocal style.
