Olympex 2012: Collecting The Olympic Games
THIS EVENT ENDED ON THE 9TH SEPTEMBER 2012

Presented by The British Library and The International Olympic Committee, Olympex 2012 is a large-scale display featuring postage stamps, letters, postcards, maps and programmes offering insights from the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, through to the present day and London 2012. With items mostly drawn from private collections, the display includes some 2,500 stamps and postal items, each telling a story. It's fascinating to see who sent these letters and cards, and who they were sent to, as you discover a very personal take on significant historical events. You can also get your photograph taken with an Olympic Torch (11am-3pm, during the Games only).
