Pangaea II: New Art from Africa and Latin AmericaThe second instalment of Saatchi's Pangaea: New Art from Africa and Latin America opens on 4th March 2015 showing contemporary work from artists working in an area covering Africa to Latin America. In the first installment, sculptures of huge ants crawled over the walls, collages of newspaper clippings reflected the political state of the Republic of the Ivory Coast and semi-nude female models hid behind wooden ceremonial masks in a colonial mansion. In Pangaea II, 17 contemporary artists including Aboudia, Dawit Abebe, Eduardo Berliner, Jean-Francois Bocle, Armand Boua, Pia Camil and Alida Cervantes are displayed.

About Saatchi Gallery

The Saatchi Gallery re-opened on 9th October 2008 in the former military barracks of the Duke of York's Headquarters. The 70,000 square feet represents a significantly larger space than its previous 40,000 occupancy at County Hall. Ousted from the Southbank site in 2005, the re-location of the gallery had long been speculated upon and hotly anticipated. More about Saatchi Gallery
