Participatory Photography Commission: BBKPArt collective BBKP are the creative juices behind the annual Participatory Photography Commission at Battersea Park's Pump House Gallery. Renowned for their wry humour and oddball projects, the quartet - Nathan Birchenough, Nicolas Brown, Craig Kao and Savvas Papasavva - were present at the gallery throughout the autumn to encourage the public to get involved with their artistic experiments. In the physical act of problem solving, BBKP create sculpture, multimedia and interactive installations in art and non-art contexts. The resulting new works - subversions upon the humble model of the pinhole camera - form the centrepiece of this two-month exhibition at the small yet intriguing gallery, which is housed in the former Victorian water tower that once supplied water to the lakes and cascades of Battersea Park.

About Pump House Gallery

Built in 1861, the Pump House Gallery was originally a Victorian water tower supplying water to the lakes and cascades in Battersea Park. Following renovation, the building now houses a contemporary art gallery, gift shop and park information centre. Following renovation, the distinctive four-story Grade I listed building now houses a contemporary art gallery, gift shop and park information centre. More about Pump House Gallery
