From the composer of Wicked and Godspell comes this adaptation of Roger O.Hirson's book Pippin. Stephen Schwartz provides the music and lyrics in this completely re-conceived, directed and choreographed production for The Menier Chocolate Factory - also featuring Bob Fosse's orginial Tony award-winning routines. Featuring Harry Hepple in the title role, Ian Kelsey (known for television roles including Casualty and Emmerdale), Olivier nominated Matt Rawle and Tony award-winner Frances Ruffelle. In this classic, coming-of-age story, Pippin, the heir to the throne of Charlemagne, embarks on a quest of self-discovery but finds himself encountering the uncertain worlds of warfare, love, politics and religion.About Menier Chocolate Factory
Housed in a former chocolate factory, this innovative theatre is rapidly establishing itself as one of London's best. Since opening in 2004, it has had half-a-dozen West End transfers, most of them slick revivals of recent plays and musicals, including Sunday in the Park With George, Dealer's Choice, and Little Shop of Horrors.
