Pocahontas And After: Cultural DayThis March, the British Library explores the historic and cultural figure of Pocahontas 400 years after her death. Pocahontas and After: Cultural Day will offer a packed day of film screenings, panel debates, a lecture and a musical performance centred around the Powhatan Native American. The line-up includes Michael Walling, artistic director of Border Crossings and the Origins Festival; Joanne Prince of Rainmaker Gallery, Bristol; Dr David Stirrup, Reader in Indigenous and Settler Literatures of the Americas, University of Kent; and Jim Horn and Bill Kelso, directors of Jamestown Rediscovered.

About British Library

With over 150 million items, a copy of every publication produced in the UK and Ireland, artwork by artists such as Antony Gormley and Eduardo Paolozzi, and a host of historically momentous works - including the Magna Carta, the Gutenberg Bible, Shakespeare's First Folio and the Lindisfarne Gospels - a guided tour around the British Library is the best way to take it all in.
