Warhol's Marilyn Monroe screen print series is set to be one of the highlights of 'Pop Art Portraits': in fact, there's an entire section devoted to Marilyn, the breathy seductress of Warhol's repeated prints. Well-known artists from both sides of the Atlantic are represented in this major exhibition. Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns and Roy Lichtenstein are among the US artists exhibited alongside the British Peter Blake, Richard Hamilton, David Hockney and Patrick Caulfield. Their shared interest in comic books, magazines and popular culture is evident in the repeated use of the faces of celebrities of the day.
