Portrait of a RiverThe culmination of a project which opened at the Museum of London Docklands in May 2013, Portrait of a River is a video portrait of the River Thames, its history and the people who live along its winding path before it spills out into the North Sea. The chapters in the film, created by Danish video artist Nikolaj Bendix Skyum Larsen, last between 40 seconds and six minutes and each chapter tells its own story through interviews, beautiful cinematography by Jonas Mortensen and a sound track. A unique visual documentary of the River Thames told on the banks of the river in the shadow of the Oxo Tower as part of the Mayor's Thames Festival.
