Project ColonyThe audience becomes part of the action, playing colony inspectors in Project Colony, an immersive, site-specific piece at Trinity Buoy Wharf which is based on existentialist author Franz Kafka's short story, In the Penal Colony. Meeting at a designated pick up point the audience is transported to the colony on a double-decker bus in this unusual production presented by Fourth Monkey theatre company. Once on the island, they experience the true life of the colony from both sides of the coin before being returned safely to whence they came. Conceived and directed by James Yeatman and Hamish MacDougall, two young directors who last collaborated on the Complicite Master and Margarita at the Barbican, Project Colony promises a unique theatrical experience delivered by a large ensemble cast.

About Trinity Buoy Wharf

A once derelict site in the Docklands is now home to a thriving creative community; visitors to Trinity Buoy Wharf find a welcoming mix of cafes, performance and exhibition spaces, workshops, studios, The Faraday Project, and London's only lighthouse - where Jem Finer's sound installation 'The Long Player' will play until 2999.
